During the Cat Wars, patrol duty was known among the soldiers as being "Out on the Cat Walk". The men looked forward to these patrols with some trepidation. Meet kitty during your walk and you were in serious trouble.

I started out to create a portrait of a soldier. I wanted to place him in a war zone but felt that was too much like a computer game. I added the landscape, then the helicopter, and finally searched for the right "danger" to place in the landscape. Voila! The Cat Wars were born.
Excuse me while I wipe a tear from my eye. It's all a bit much for me right now.
