No. I still buy stuff from there if the price isn't too high (in fact, I would have bought my 40D from them if they had known they were going to have them in stock when they did - they were actually priced well there), but some of their prices are 30% higher than I can get elsewhere. Add to that that if I buy on Amazon via my referral store I get a 4% commission, I get double mileage points on my credit card for Amazon purchases and I don't have to play "quality customer service roulette"...hard to plop down that much extra dough. I think most folks who have used them would say the same. Some good, some bad, based on who you get. I brought them up as the only local guys still doing repairs I knew of, but I absolutely have had plenty of issues with them. Glad they were helpful this time, but I know it's always a crapshoot. By the way, I own Nikon, but that comment about Canon from the guy at Precision is absolutely ludicrous and rude... completely out of touch too, since a huge number of pros moved from Nikon to Canon. (which is one reason Nikon recently introduced their first full frame digital after years of swearing "Never!", imo. Canon was kicking their butt.) There is just no predicting what nimrods will say, and whoever that was, I would have talked to his boss about it. No one in a service position should insult the customer that way. If he was the boss (possible, I've had issues with him too, lol!), well, all you can do is ignore dopes, and only use them when you have to. Too bad too, as most pro camera stores except the mailorder giants are struggling and usually deserve our support. Sorry to pile my slag on too, especially since you finally had a good experience there, but just wanted you to know.
