A few nice Cats images I found:

Living like cat and dog
Cats

On the beach of Amasra the cats are everywhere. This one was even looking for shelter under my chair.

Cat Sanctuary, Rome
Cats

A volunteer at the Piazza Argentina cat shelter. If you're in Rome, drop in, they need the support. I guess this photo goes nicely with the Thai monk picture.

Totterdown Cat
Cats

A cat explores the ruins of Totterdown in Bristol in 1973 - the City Council had demolished an entire, vibrant community as part of a road building scheme which never happened. Someone on Flickr pointed out that the council had acheived what Hitler had failed to do...

    Happy Furry Friday!

Amusing. The dog is looking at the cat so cautiously.

I like the alertness of the cat’s ears … but I’m partial since he reminds me of my cat, Mac.

I really like the blue/concrete striped house in the background. It’s like the beach is its front yard.

Hi, I’m an admin for a group called Flickr Dogs and Cats, and we’d love to have your photo added to the group.

  7. Mr. Physics says:

Great photo! I wonder why the volunteer is wearing gloves – if to prevent transmission of bacteria or germs, kissing the kitten rather makes them moot.

  8. John Ashburne says:

Thanks Mr P. I have a sneaking suspicion that some of us (not least the Italians?) kiss first and think about the consequences, bacterial or otherwise, later… ?!

  9. i eaт sтars says:

Amazing. Very powerful image! I really love it ♥ =]

  10. John Ashburne says:

Thanks IES. It is one of my personal faves.

  11. Korim S. Loup says:

Luckily, she’s wearing gloves to protect herself when she’s kissing the cat ;-) The picture is great, I like that grain.
    I love Koudelka, too.

I did drop by when I was there in 2004 – I went downstairs and spoke to the staff at length – bought lots of books and left a donation. And then I went back in 2007. My next visit is in 2010 – can’t wait. I love the place.

  18. ginaleedouglas says:

    Awesome shot Sean : )

  26. Martin LaBar says:

Hitler couldn’t, eh? Well, that’s government for you.

  27. Grandpops Woodlice says:

Lovely low angle, and nice forground. well captured Sean

  28. TomFalconer (aka: suckaface) says:

Great shot, the composition is so cool, with the deserted street vanishing in the distance.

  29. innpictime says:

Great composition and a well-observed scene. Apart from the cat, the ‘Moggie Minor’ on the brow of the hill is perfect.

  30. IC-UC says:

The lack of parked cars is the thing that strikes me, I bet you can’t find a parking space around there now.

  31. frscspd says:

There is a very intense feeling about this — a really interesting image. The 1970s were a bit like that in this country. Here in Cambridge they demolished the medieval areas to make space for the Grafton Centre and the Lion Yard…

  32. paul (england) says:

I wonder what Hitler would have done if he’d won …

  33. Stevacek says:

Great shot, especially against those deserted streets.
This definitely seems have a ‘seventies’ feel to it…

  34. elenaburj says:

    Super!

  35. Joel in CB says:

    Very Nice!

  36. Fray Bentos says:

Yes, a lovely photograph. I would guess that we are looking along Stanley Hill. The stepped paving, with its tooled pennant sandstone kerbs, does much to make the picture interesting. I wonder if the setts in the gutter would once have covered the whole surface of the road.

  37. moggierocket says:

Hi, I’m an admin for a group called The cat who turned on and off (invite only), and we’d love to have this added to the group!

    Beautiful.
