What You Get in the Worlds Most Expensive Hotel Suites
The world’s super rich like a little luxury when travelling. Here are just five of the world’s most expensive hotel suites and what customers can expect for their money.
Atlantis Hotel, Nassau
The famous Atlantis Hotel on Paradise Island in Nassau, Bahamas has what is reputed to be the world’s most expensive hotel suite. At $25,000 dollars a night you should be able to expect a good nights rest in the Atlantis Bridge Suite.
One of the reasons that this exclusive suite is so expensive is location. The Atlantis hotel buildings consist of two towers joined by a bridge that overlooks the entire marina complex. The Atlantis Bridge Suite is situated on this bridge.
The suite consists of no less than ten rooms with 12 foot ceilings. The fixtures and fittings include marble baths, chaise lounges in the bathrooms and hand-painted linens. There are two separate master bedrooms with spacious seating areas and the suite has its own bar lounge, kitchen and entertainment area. It even comes with its own butler and, of course, lots of gold.
President Wilson Hotel, Geneva
The Imperial Suite at the President Wilson Hotel in Geneva is another that most of us will never see. This particular hotel is all about security making it popular with world leaders and celebrities.
The imperial suite takes up the whole of the top floor of the hotel has its own private elevator. It boasts four bedrooms each with bay windows that overlook Lake Geneva and Mont Blanc. It has no less than five bathrooms, the main bathroom having both a Jacuzzi and a steam bath. All are decorated with ornate, mosaic marble flooring.
The suite is ideal for entertaining as the living room, with its own library and cocktail lounge, is big enough for 40 people and the dining room can seat 26. The price for this impressive suite, protected with bullet proof glass, is a mere $23,600 a night.
Martinez Hotel, Cannes
The Art Deco Presidential Suite at the Martinez Hotel in Cannes, on the Cote D’Azur, has two beautifully furnished bedrooms as well as a Turkish bath, Jacuzzi and personal sauna. The suite covers an enormous 2,000 square feet and can comfortably accommodate 100 people, making it great for parties. The suite has fantastic, scenic views of the Bay of Cannes and Lerins Islands and can actually be joined to a second prestigious penthouse suite to form one super-size apartment.
The suite comes with its own private butler, open bar, DVD collection and exclusive use of a limousine, all for the princely sum of $18,000 a night.
Plaza Hotel, New York
The 18th floor of the prestigious Plaza Hotel in New York is almost entirely occupied by the $15,000 a night Presidential Suite. It is opulently decorated in a French Chateau style with silk covered walls, hand painted Trompe L’oeil images and a large stained glass window in the reception area.
The 8,000 square foot suite boasts no less than five bedrooms, five bathrooms, dining room and its own sauna. There is even a 2,000 bottle wine cellar, but guests must pay extra for whatever they use.
Many guests actually bring their own chefs but the Plaza chefs are at the disposal of guests using the Presidential Suite which comes with the exclusive use of a secretary who also acts as a butler.
Westin Excelsior, Rome
The Villa La Cupola suite at the Westin Excelsior hotel in Rome is spread over more than 6,000 square feet of the fifth and sixth floors with a further 2,000 square feet of balconies and terraces.
This fantastic suite has a number of uniqure features that might almost justify the $14,300 a night price tag. These include a private cinema, with Dolby surround sound, and private lift. It has a Pompeii style Jacuzzi and lots of ornate frescoes and fantastic stained glass.
The basic suite, with only two bedrooms, can be yours for a night for only $10,000, but the five additional bedrooms pushes this price up to about $14,300.
I think you will agree that these are all fantastic places to stay with equally fantastic prices. I just wish I had a bank balance that would allow me to indulge in just a little of this luxury. Sadly, for me, this is the stuff that dreams are made of.
