How Did Helen Phillips Lose 140 Pounds
Helen Phillips is the 47 year old winner of ‘Biggest Loser’ after shedding an amazing 140 lbs. She started out at 257 lbs and finished looking fantastic at 117 lbs.
She walked away with a prize of $250,000 and a body to die for. She is the third consecutive winner, but how did she do it.
Diet control is clearly an important factor but Helen really worked to shed those excess pounds. She engaged in a rigorous programme of physical activity that involved daily, exhaustive exercise.
Her achievement gives those of us struggling to lose a few pounds and trim down our waist lines lots of hope. With the right diet, plenty of exercise and even more determination we can all attain the healthy weight that we want.
One key to success is finding physical exercise that we enjoy. Some like to pound the pavement, others like to swim and many like to go to the gym. The key is finding something that is entirely enjoyable so that you want to do it again and again.
For me, its simply playing. I like to use a hoola hoop in the garden, I skip with a skipping rope and I even play on my children’s swing set, much to their amusement. In fact, since I bought them a really nice wooden play centre for the garden I think I have used it more than them. At least I am setting them a good example, as Helen has done for the rest of us.
