Getting married? You need to ‘Save the Date’!
What’s a Save the Date Card?
These days sending out your wedding invitations too close to the date can end in disaster.
Your best friend might have already booked a holiday. Your Godmother might have arranged to deal with vital family stuff on your wedding day. Your Best Man might be committed to a business trip that he can’t rearrange.
If you’ve been invited to a wedding recently but you’ve had to give it a miss because of prior committments, you’ll appreciate the concept. Save the Date cards are an excellent way to ensure all your favourite people make it to your special day. How? By giving them plenty of notice.
Save the Date card designs
Choose crisp, pure white Save the Date cards with subtle silver or gold text. Send pretty traditional Save the Date cards for a romantic feel. Pick a Save the Date card with humour and announce your day with a cartoon design. Take the plunge and go for an extremely stylish alternative in deep, rich black with silver text. Or stick with a plain, clear design that won’t scare your elderly relatives!

These look really handy - and great idea. I’ll be using these for a forthcoming retirement party - lots of people really must be there…

Spot on that save the date cards can be a lifesaver. They also get your guests extra excited about your wedding. A nice touch is to get an engagement photo shoot done and incorporate the pictures from it into the cards - a much more personal touch (its what my wife and I did…)
