Forget Buying a Stratocaster - Make a Spamocaster
If you know anything about guitars you will know that the Fender Stratocaster is an iconic instrument favoured by many great guitarists including Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton. But have you heard of a Spamocaster?
Over at the Cigar Box Nation community website they are currently running their first annual thanksgiving Spam-off contest. The challenge is to turn a Spam can into a playable instrument. Entries need to be submitted to the site before December the 5th.
Now if you are new to the world of Cigar Box Guitars and homemade instruments I suggest you take a few minute to peruse the incredibly imaginative creations put together by the clever gals and guys in the Cigar Box Nation community. You will find a variety of everyday objects, including cigar boxes, biscuit tins, oil cans and discarded junk imaginatively turned into very playable instruments.
So why not get yourself a can of Spam, eat the contents (or give it to your dog) and make yourself a Spamocaster, or maybe a Spamdolin or a Spamplifier!
