Airbus Coming to Manchester

Emirates Airlines have announced that they will be running an airbus A380 service between Manchester and Dubai, commencing in September 2010. The massive Boeing airbus A380 will replace the Boeing 777 that is currently used for this daily service.

Tim Clark, Emierates Airlines president has said that Manchester was selected as it is one of the strongest performing regional gateways, not only in the UK but also globally.

mikeairplaneManchester airport is reported to have spent no less than £10 million on improvements to the runway and terminal buildings in preparation for the arrival of the massive Airbus.

The Boeing A380 airbus has suffered some setbacks during its introduction into service and many airlines have cancelled their orders for the new model aircraft during the recession. But it is reported that the technical issues, that resulted in the grounding of three Quantas A380 aircraft, have been resolved.
