Many people have already completed their Christmas shopping. But if you are anything like me you’ll leave it all until the last minute.

I always have problems thinking of what to buy for people, particularly some of my older relatives. A good friend gave me a tip last year. She suggested that I take a look at a variety of lead crystal and glassware products. She was certain that I’d find something that my old mum and my aunty Maud would really love, and she was right.

I bought this fantastic cut lead crystal bowl last year for a close relative who was absolutely delighted. It has a diameter of about 14 inches and makes a great centerpiece on the dining table.

Another great gift item that I bought for my father last year was this gorgeous, chunky crystal decanter. He was overjoyed with his gift and immediately filled it with his favourite Scotch Whisky.

For my aunt I chose a nice lead crystal vase. She always has flowers around her house so she too was immensely pleased with her present.

My brother was particularly pleased to receive this great glass tankard. He loves traditional ales and recently started brewing his own so this gift really hit the right note.

For my girlfriend I chose a set of six cocktail glasses. She loves to entertain and recently started to make cocktails so these glasses were a popular choice. I even got a kiss under the mistletoe.
