I still remembered F*** Me I’m Famous closing Party at Pacha Ibiza, when started planning my next trip to The White Island. I thought to myself it would be quite nice to see what the opening Parties in the club look like, so decided to check when David Guetta was launching his night. The date was announced sometime in March, and that was the day when I started planning my trip.
Because my girlfriend celebrates her birthday some day in June, and she loves Ibiza maybe even more than I do, I decided, that this trip will be her birthday present that year.
Travel agents in UK do not tend to do four day long breaks to Balearics, not in early June, before proper holiday season, hence I spent all Sunday looking for a flight that was supposed to take me to Ibiza. I decided to go yet on Wednesday after work and stay until the end of the weekend. All that remained at that point was to somehow tell my girlfriend – she would get her birthday present a little bit earlier.
I had to tell her, that the present involved travelling, but wanted to keep the destination a secret. When she asked what to pack, and what the weather was going to be like, I said I only cared about naughty lingerie, and that she should pack a bag for four days. Somehow I managed not to give my master plan away.
On Wednesday, the day we were flying out, I tried to pretend we were going by car, and took a longer way around the city. I did not want my girlfriend to suspect we were going to the airport. That trick unfortunately took me too long, and because I went to the car park a few miles away from the airport, we almost missed the flight. At check in, when my girlfriend found out where we were going, lady told us to book another flight. Luckily she was only joking, and after a quck call to boarding, she checked us in, and let into the fast lane.
About 9PM very hot Mediterranean air welcomed us, when we eventually stepped out of the freezing aircraft. I still wonder why it is always that cold in cheap airlines. All that remained was to pick up a car from the agent, and the four day adventure began.
Very small village in Western Ibiza, Cala Tarida, with few houses, little shop and a bus stop is famous for a magnificent beach which is located in a huge cove, and surrounded by high rocky hills. It is a perfect spot not only for all day long sunbathing maniacs, but also for ones who love to watch sunsets. I wanted to watch one that day whilst having my evening meal, so shortly we found ourselves heading to Tarida in our black hatchback, nodding our heads to some tune in local radio station.
Purple circle hid slowly behind the horizon…Our four days Ibiza adventure began.
